Barnes & Noble Book Signing and Library Invitation to Read Local!

I was thrilled to be invited to the Barnes & Noble book signing Saturday, January 25. But we authors are no competition for Gasparilla Saturday! I was very grateful to all those who braved Gasparilla traffic to check out Writing In Wet Cement. I met other authors as well as book lovers and had several lively discussions. Best of all, I sold books! Some of the sale proceeds were donated to Friends Of The Library, a very worthy cause.

The day before I received a wonderful surprise from Sandra Crosby, administrator of the Hillsborough County Public Library Read Local Author Expo. On receiving my book she immediately invited me to be part of the Read Local Author Expo. Writing In Wet Cement will be on the shelves at the South Shore Library, Jimmie Keel Library and North Tampa Library. When the next Read Local Author Expo event is scheduled I'll let everyone know. Events are usually scheduled a few times a year but have not yet been placed on the calendar.

Keep reading and supporting our local libraries, and a bit shout out of thanks to the HCPL system for recognizing local authors!

Here I am at Barnes & Noble signing and in our jungle backyard getting ready to depart!
